I started with the base part of a wooden block perpetual calendar I had in a stash of wood scraps I got at Goodwill for less than $2. 😀
Since it was already a nice neutral color, I left it. I then fussy cut the flowers from the freebie printable & another set of flowers from the Flower Seeds Packet printable and used the photo xfer technique to put them on the wall. While those were drying, I stenciled some bricks in various places & used my water brush with black pencil to give it a grungy look.
I then fussy cut the girl & ruler from the freebie printable, backed them with some thin cardboard, and distressed them.
Once my flowers were dry & ready to rub off the paper, I put everything together!
I added moss to various areas & the ground, then finally found a use for my little red wagon! The phrase is from the Thoughts printable.
My flowers looked nice in the corners...
And I adhered the ruler along the bottom & the girl on the side. She's a lovely kind of distressed. 😙
These printables are really great & can be fussy cut, transferred, enlarged, reduced, decoupaged, painted - all kinds of fun! So hop on over to Mixed Up Magazine to purchase your digital copy & get a free printable sampler page to play with!
