I got a neon green pumpkin last year after Halloween for $.50 - score! 😜 I started covering it with white gesso.
Then I added white crackle & pieces of cheesecloth for texture.
And then - the Lindy's Gang sprays in Bucket of Blood & Incandescent Copper. And it started to look like a blood bath 😲
But after spritzing and spraying & embellishing, Mr Crack o'Lantern was amazing!
I didn't want to overwhelm him was embellishments because I wanted it to be something I could display all the time so I took it easy. Just wanted it grungy & vintage with a touch of 'oh my'. Hubby had ordered this gear for something but they sent the wrong thing so he gave it to me - score again! 😎
And all the way around....
I embossed a creepy tree from Creative Embellishments & added the number 31 Roman style...
Look at that crackly goodness - he needs a dentist 🙃
I didn't want to leave the gaping hole which would show the green inside so I stuffed some kraft packing paper inside that I'd saved from a package. Then I thought it needed something: Tim Holtz people.
I did finish him off by spraying on a finish since the extreme crackling & peeling was delicate. I'm very pleased with Mr Crack O'! I'll have to pick up some different faces this year so he can have a friend! Happy haunting! 🎃
Simply amazing!!!
