My precious mother passed away in her sleep after a long battle with Alzheimer's. I'm so glad I was able to help take care of her with my father. She was always happy & had a smile that lit up a room.
She played the organ, knitted & crocheted, sewed & quilted. She learned to jitterbug at her local soda shoppe when she was a teen. She used to bowl & play golf. She was a Sunday School teacher, worked at the Christian school at a local church, & taught in The Good News club. We were in our church choir together when I was a kid. She was a Tupperware Lady & an Avon Lady. She was married for 64 years to my father. She's traveled & lived in various places, both here & abroad, as an Air Force spouse, including Greece, Germany, Israel, California, Alabama, & her home state of Illinois.
Life is precious - spend as much time as you can with your family. Forgive each other. Support each other. You don't know how much time you have.
