Mini spring domino book

Spring is winding down and everything is heating up. So I decided to keep spring around for a little while longer with a little domino picture book.

Dominos make really fun covers for mini books. You can make them as big as you want - whether you stack them tall or side by side. And the inside can be as ornate or as plain as you want. I love using different media and techniques to make the story come alive: 3D foam mounting, lacquer, glitter, metal embellishments, trinkets. I've even got some flocking! I've got some insets on some pics so that you can see the detail a little better (I hope!)  You can use ribbon, string, or metal clasps to keep it all together. Your imagination is the limit!

I'm sharing this little treasure on the Mini Album Makers Challenge Blog and the Frilly and Funkie Challenge Blog for their Letter Perfect challenge - wish me luck!

  1. Oh this is so beautiful, totally adorable! Love mini books of all descriptions, feeling very inspired by yours. Just need to locate some dominoes!

  2. Cathy, OH MY GOSH! I never, ever would have thought to combine two dominoes like this to make an album cover, but why?! The result is incredible. I totally adore this and will be pinning for sure. The way you used the G45 paper is just gorgeous. This is truly amazing and inspiring. We are so thankful you shared with us at Mini Album Makers this month. Big hugs, Autumn

  3. I'm really not following Autumn around...tee hee! But Oh, my gosh, yes! This is so incredibly sweet, and I'm so excited you shared it with us at Frilly and Funkie for our Letter Perfect challenge! I really, really love this teeny tiny book! Hugs!

  4. I love this! It's just so simple and appealing (see what I did there?) and tiny! I really like the way you stacked two dominoes side by side to make the covers. One of my faves this challenge, for sure! Thanks so much for joining the fun at the Frilly and Funkie "Letter Perfect" challenge!

  5. This is so adorable! Adding a booklet to dominoes is one of my favorites. Yours is so pretty. Love the cover with the texture and bee. Thanks for joining the challenge at Mini Album Makers.

  6. Very beautiful! Super! Thanks for joining the challenge at Mini Album Makers.
