Distress Oxide AND alcohol ink together? Why, of course!

Well hello there! I've been having some fun with distress oxide and alcohol inks on shiny photo paper!  What's really cool about the oxide inks is that a baby wipe can make them brilliant!

Here's an ATC coin after drying the oxide. It has that chalky feel to it, kind of matte but still beautiful.

Wipe a baby wipe over it and it takes that top layer off and gets really shiny and vibrant!

And you can go back and add more and wipe off more. It would be kind of cool to do a little of both on the same piece - a little shiny, a little matte together!

So after that, I played with some alcohol inks on top - my first time! And I've had these things in the package for almost a year 🙄  And after that, I added some Gecko Galz fairies from the Pixie Dust Digital Collage Set!

I mounted my ladies with foam and added some white embossing underneath them to break up the color and make it a little more artsy. The colors of the oxide and alcohol inks together is luscious!

I'm really happy with the outcome of this on shiny photo paper - I've got so much of that stuff lying around that I don't use. But now I'm gonna go crazy with it! 😃

And I'm gonna be a little crazy and enter it at More Mixed Media Challenge, 613 Avenue Create, and Craftaholics R Us!
