It's Day Three of our CCB Harvest Boo-nanza and first up is Gemma Hynes with a fab decorated bottle!
For my project, I used a mixture of Tattered Angel Mists (Ruby Slipper, Mantis, Firefly, Jade, It's Orange, It's Brown), cardstock and fabric to decorate a bottle for my Autumn/Halloween display which I have filled with one of my favorite American sweets. I get excited every time I see them as they are so hard to get my hands on in the UK.
I cut and prepared all the cardstock and canvas elements of my project in advance so I could get to the best part - spraying them with lots of color.
I love how the Tattered Angels Mists blend so easily together and how in the canvas flower, they have soaked into the weave of the canvas highlighting it and giving the project some added texture.
I was so pleased with how the flower came together, with the colors from the different sprays coming through and how they looked next to the metal pieces I added. But no project for this time of year would be complete without adding a skull or three. These are just little wooden skulls from my stash that have been painted with two coats of High Impact (Black) paint.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing this project and feel inspired to go be crafty yourselves. Please don’t forget to comment to be entered into the draw and good luck!
Gemma
(Other items used: High Impact Paint (Copper), chipboard pieces, material strips, metal embellishments, string)
