Our 2nd project of the day - CCB Boo-nanza

Our 2nd project on Day Two is from Lynne Desjardins Joncas. Her harvest wreath is divine!

Hi crafty friends! I'm happy to be joining in on the Harvest Boo-Nanza, especially since it gave me a great opportunity to play with some of the awesome products I just received in my new order from Canvas Corp Brands!!

When I saw the Brutus/Monroe Watercolor Elements papers, my first thought was autumn leaves, so I decided to make an autumn/harvest wreath.

I misted the burlap with a few shades of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Candy Corn, English Ivy, Vintage Lace, Olive Vine). I love how vibrant the colours look on the natural burlap! When I wrapped the strips around the wreath form, I overlapped them just slightly so I didn't cover too much of the colour.

Of course, none of my dies were large enough to cut out the leaves, so I traced some of the leaves from the Mixed Media Origins-Harvest Moon paper to make templates. I handcut the leaves, then flipped them over and hand-embossed detail and texture into the paper leaves before rubbing the raised parts with ink. The acorns were cut from the other side of the Harvest Moon paper and rubbed with metallic wax.

Thanks so much for having a look, and I wish you a happy, creative autumn season!

Lynne xx

(Other supplies used: Gypsy Soul Lasercuts chipboard wreath form, Art Alchemy Metallique Wax-Rich Copper acrylic paints, Wheat die, Hot glue gun, White glue)
