And this month - anything goes! So for this challenge, I made this mixed media canvas done in a monochromatic palette!
I used the reverse side so I had someplace for my Egg Man to hang out!
The egg is from Sandra Evertson and it's covered with micro beads with a hint of old paper from my stash. I also randomly put strips of the paper onto the canvas as well. Seth Apter's baked texture embossing powders (Vintage Beeswax and Chunky Rust) add a cool, vintage affect all over.
Rusty embellishments like wire, metal, and safety pins add to the vintage, worn vibe. And an old filmstrip photo finishes the look.
This was a fun project encompassing my favorite things: old stash, old paper, old rust!
So what will you make for the challenge? Come join us to submit your mixed media creation! Follow us * share * create! You have until 14 December!
I'm entering my projects in some challenges of my own: A Vintage Journey, SanDee & Amelie's Steampunk Challenges, and Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo!
