A little metal and lace

Can you believe it - it's February! And I've got some fun news: it's my first DT post for Creative Artiste Challenge Blog!  So excited that they chose me to be on their team!

Creative Artiste is a mixed media challenge blog and their challenges are monthly and always ANYTHING GOES! They have great prizes so there's no reason not to join in the fun!  Without further ado, here's my maiden project for February's challenge!

I rescue glass bottles and jars - this was a salsa jar!  They make a great base for various mixed media techniques and looks. It can also be a challenge working with a slick and bulbous surface using crackle paste and art stones. I wanted something soft as far as color goes so white and rose gold coloring did the trick!  Metal trim and wire accents adds a little bit of masculinity but doesn't overpower it.

It's a little rustic and a little feminine with alot of character!  Perfect decor piece or gift for a bride-to-be!

So now it's your turn! Try getting a little out of your comfort zone with your project. You've got all month to get creative so let's see what you've got!

I'm also playing along at Through The Craft Room DoorSplashy Mix Challenges, and Scraps n Pieces!
