Women with vision

The month of March is closing out already and things are getting colorful outside!  Things are getting colorful here, too!

I love art journaling but this one is a first for me! I just decided to play with colors to see where it would go. And it went wild! The background is just 3 colors of regular acrylic paint smooshed around randomly, then a stencil on each side. The fun came when I got out my paint pens and just started doodling. Then I filled in some spaces with black to make things pop!

I was inspired by the challenge going on at Mixed Media Warriors:

It was a combination of things: the painting, strong women, flowers, colors. I pulled a little bit of everything out of the moodboard and gave it my artistic twist.  It's a page for women: bold, visionary, and artistic expression!

I'm also entering this at Simon Says Stamp for their Play With Paint challenge!
