Soft Spring panel

The end of April - can you believe it!? Stuff is starting to bloom a little more and color is popping up here and there! I did a softer mixed media panel for the season with soft hues and tones - not my normal grungy, rusty stuff!

I don't know about you but I generally get an idea in my head and then end up 200 miles south of that! But I'm happy with the outcome! I have some stenciling here and there and started coloring it with Lindy's Blazing SunBonjour ButterCocklebells Coral, and Edelweiss Moss Green sprays and Black Forest Black magical shaker. I also used a toned-down camouflage green rust paste from Finnabair.

I love the shimmer and the melding of the colors. It's a different palette for me but I love it!

I'm entering this at Lindy's Gang April ChallengeTry It On Tuesday, Simon Says StampScraps N Pieces, and STAMPlorations Mixed Media!

  2. Beautiful colours and a lovely bit of stencilling, with what looks like one of my favourite stencils ;-) Funny trompe l'oeuil effect there in the first couple of photos, where it looks as if the stencil itself has been attached to the canvas - I had to enlarge and look very closely, lol. It's good to celebrate Spring! I bet this looks so much nicer IRL with those lovely blended sprays.
Thank you so much for sharing your art with us at Try it on Tuesday.
