Welcome everyone! It's getting close to summer but some of us are feeling the heat already! The new challenge at Emerald Creek is Summer in the City! And what do you do if it's Summer in the City - you go to the beach! How about a little tropical humor - Tropic Like It's Hot!
This is a very straightforward project done on the blank side of a postcard! I stamped my image in the corner and then started embossing! Seth Apter's Sand embossing powder was perfect for this, as were his Baked Velvet colors! And the sun was courtesy of PaperArtsy Chalk Acrylics!
I added some birds and sentiment with paint pens. I also outlined some of the features of the stamp and added some Maize embossing powder to the sun.
I hope you'll play along with us and do some shopping - we DARE you!
You can see how shiny the powder is - so glossy! And the translucence let's you layer colors. I think it's ready to send back home in the mail!
