Bricks and pipes

It's July and things are heating up! There's a new challenge at Creative Artiste and it's always anything goes!

I created this canvas using A Vintage Girl chipboard pipes and bricks of which I'm a Brand Ambassador!

I used Liquitex ceramic stucco to create a grungy wall that maybe you'd find down in a basement.  The large pipes were embossed to look coppery and patinaed. And the bricks are such fun! I used both the frames and some individual bricks here and there. I painted them with a combo of liquid acrylics in a brown and a black. I spritzed water on the canvas and brushed on some black to get it a little sooty looking. Looks like a real stucco wall!

It's so much fun using these Vintage Girl products! So many ways to enhance your artwork with a vintage and/or steampunk flare!  You need to pick some up for yourself - you won't be disappointed!

And stop by Creative Artiste to enter our monthly challenges - YOU could be our next winner!

  1. You really do come up with the weird and wonderful Cathy. This piece is so cool and interesting how you have put this together for an amazing result. Could be from an old building wall a hundred years ago. Love seeing all your creativeness.
