Sail away

It's the first Friday in September and that means a new challenge at Creative Artiste! It's anything goes every month so go through your crafty stash and amaze us!

Here's my DT make - book art using Ciao Bella's Repubbliche Marinare collection!

I love the effect of this particular book folding - here's how it started out!

And then I went about embellishing.  So many neat things to use in this collection! Really, the only part that wasn't from the collection are the octopus legs and the brown paper bag border. The water and tentacles have lacquer accents on them. And I used my wax seal set on the two tags.

Now it's your turn to be a creative artiste! Stop by the blog and join the challenge!

  9. That's a stunning altered book, Cathy... I adore the octopus arms reaching out from every page, and the brilliant folded construction. So glad you showed us photos from all those different angles, especially the one from above at the end, showing all the drama and movement. It's simply brilliant.
