The Funkie Junkie Boutique Guest Designer Post!

Hello my friends!  I am so thrilled to be a Guest Designer again for The Funkie Junkie Boutique! My entry for their Marvelous Metallics challenge  - Steampunk Goggles - was their winner so here I am!

Their current challenge is Terrific Tags so let's take a look at my make!

We're getting close to fall y'all and that means Halloween 👻 !  I used one of Prima's large chipboard tags and covered it with a piece of Tim Holtz's new Halloween wallpaper.  I love the colors and design!  At the top, I added some stenciling using Nuvo expanding mousse. I used a Tim Holtz clock sticker and adhered a metal nouveau moon on top. In the corners, I used ornate brads - I twisted the long pieces off. I don't think I've ever used a brad the way it's intended! I went around the whole tag with gold rub 'n buff.

For bottom half, there's more stenciling. I had a laser cut wood pumpkin and I added one of Tim Holtz's thick chipboard paper dolls. I used a couple of his Halloween phrases and added a little cobweb. The bottom is a couple of different silk Sari ribbon pieces.

Here's more pics!

Thank you, Funkie Junkie Boutique, for having me back on your wonderful blog! I really enjoyed this theme!

I'm entering this at Through The Craft Room Door and STAMPlorations Mixed Media and TAGplorations challenges!

  3. Congratulations on your GD spot at FJB... and what a great tag to be sharing. Love the use of the shabby wallpaper background, and the perfect positioning of the paper doll, propped up on the pumpkin. (Sorry, seem to have come over all alliterative there!).
