Christmas cross

Christmas is almost upon us again - where has the time gone?! This season is a time to reflect over the past year, to remember those that we've lost and miss, and to count our many blessings. I have many, many blessings to be thankful for, even through loss. But whether I'm up or down, I'm always thankful for and blessed by my salvation. I can always look to the Cross for comfort and joy!

This Christmas cross is so easy to do. Just get a cross, glue on your bits and bobs and scraps, paint it black, and use your sprays and waxes. If I had painted it white first, the coloring would be alot different so just play around with it!

I used all kinds of things, like chipboard, buttons, jewelry pieces, and art stones of varying sizes.

The sprays and waxes give it a beautiful iridescence. You could just do one color as well.

I'll be making more of these and will probably paint them white first so that I can really get some fabulous tones.

I hope you'll look to the Cross this Christmas season and don't forget to count your blessings!

“Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, good will toward men.”
Luke 2:14

  1. So simple and such lovely soft colours Cathy. I will look out for when you make more for what other colours you land up with. I can smell it from my house LOL.

Hey - Tell me something good!
