There are 5 chipboard pages and it is large - 11.5" x 9"! Laser cut and etched windows and doors and arched roofs. You will go crazy!
I used 3 of the layers since I tend to make my albums bulky. The 2 pieces I saved will come in handy for future projects!
For the front, I used ceramic stucco and embossing powders. The frame around the door is wallpaper. I wanted faces in the windows but didn't want to see the blank backsides on the next page. So I got clever as you'll see 😎
Ta da! The faces are from the page underneath. The left side is covered with the same wallpaper (love that industrial look!). I added separate chipboard window frames with faces and added embossing, pipes, and a couple rivets. The chipboard works great with waxes!
The other side is covered in a gold, shimmery tissue paper. I used the same tissue paper for the windows. More pipes and embossing plus some large gears finish it off.
For the last section, I covered the left side with a piece of scrapbook paper that's no longer available from A Vintage Girl. It was the perfect backdrop for my rusty metal truck! There's a couple of waxed rivets for tire rims and a piece of pipe on the burlap border. The sentiments really set off the whole scene!
The other side is covered in torn and wrinkled pieces of paper bag, then distressed. Along with embossing and pipes, I added a pulley and wings.
I'm entering this at SanDee and Amelie's, Classic Design Team, and artPiASKOWNiCA!

ReplyDeleteWords fail me Cathy - it is so imaginative and the different elements you've used are fabulous - I really can't find the right words to express what this project deserves - as Emma says it's awesome and amazing but even that doesn't seem enough xx
