Anno Domini

We're into April and Easter is fast approaching. This year is different with the pandemic but Easter means Hope! So with all this time on my hands, I've made an Easter triptych using products from Relics and Artifacts!

These Gothic Arch Windows come in a set of 3 - I used the 2 smaller ones. I say smaller but even those are over 5" tall. I filled them in with Alcohol Ink Pearls - and they are vibrant! I went around the edges and pane frames with matte waxes and watered down black ink.

My 3 eggs are from the Imperial Eggs set. This first has tissue paper and crackle, then it's grunged with some matte waxes and ink. The frame was silver but I redid it with the same products.

This middle egg is covered in tissue paper and then patinaed with waxes and ink.

This last egg is one of the chipboard backings included in the set. I transfered part of a piece of tissue paper I had with crosses on it.

My sign is from a mold and made over to look like metal!

The whole thing is mounted on cardboard that's been covered in tissue paper and then grunged with black ink and gold rub 'n buff.

I just adore the products from Sandra Evertson! There's so many different types, from eggs and hearts to cherubim and faces! I think these windows have become my favorite of the products!

This Easter, I pray you find Hope during these troubled times.

Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us,
according as we hope in thee. Psalm 33:22

Relics and Artifacts has a FB group that I belong to and they're having an egg challenge - so I'm entering this creation! I'm also entering at Classic Design Team Challenge and Path of Positivity!

  4. What a fantastic project. I was surprised to read that the background was cardboard as it didn't look like it was. Thank you for entering the Beauty of Botanicals Challenge at Path Of Positivity.
