Fun with toilet paper

I actually made this well before the current pandemic panic and TP shortages so please - no comments about not taking things seriously! I was experimenting with an embossing folder and it just came about!

I only own one embossing folder because I don't have a machine. I thought I'd use a rolling pin and....well...that didn't work great. And then I had an epiphany: get one without handles and rub the flat end over it really hard.

Yeah - that worked a lot better! 😁. This is just one square that's been partially covered with plaster paste. The affect with Lindy's sprays and some Finnabair wax turned out amazing!

And now I have to go buy a bunch of embossing folders!

This is my DT project for April's Bleeding Art Challenge - why not grab your embossing folders and enter your own awesome project?! AND WE'RE ALSO TAKING YOUR KIDS' ART SUBMISSIONS - DETAILS AT BLEEDING ART! This month's prize sponsor is Vera Lane Studio Digital Stamps

  1. A brilliant project - I've seen the rolling pin technique done before - stay safe x

  2. Don't think I would have the muscle power to emboss with a rolling pin. Super result you got here Cathy. Love the blue tones and lucky you only used 1 sheet otherwise you might have run short and had to buy 'that paper' Awesome project!
I must use my drawer full of embossing folders more.
