Get your brights on

Welcome everyone! How is everyone handling the quarantine? It's a great time to get creative to let out your frustrations!

This is a modern art piece of sorts - done on a 12x12 piece of cardboard! It's got bright colors but I also had to get a little grunge in there 😜

Texture, my friends! And I LOVE 'warting' as I call it - getting that heat gun close to get luscious warts and bubbles. Almost like you're baking it on!

What I like about using corrugated cardboard is you get the ridging/lines affect in the background which adds some interest.

Isn't the warting fab?

I'm entering this at Mixed Media Place and STAMPlorations!

  1. I love texture, I try to push myself to get more every time, not quite where I want to be yet though! Your canvas is freakin’ awesome, not only for the texture but the colours are fantastic too & that grid effect is yummy .... Jane x 🌴

  2. Love this piece, but what is that screen looking thing, is that cardboard? It looks black.

    1. The whole piece is done on cardboard. The screen looking pattern is stenciling!

  3. Another fabulous make Cathy. Love your 'warting' giving even more texture. I do that to and love the bubble effect you get. Lots of amazing colours on that grid.
With my DT hat on - Thanks for adding to the Stencil Challenge at STAMPlorations. Hope I see you there again.
