The base for these is from packaging I've saved from my time as a Crew Member at Canvas Corp. They have some really cool packaging they use for their Architextures and 7 Gypsies items. I then just added various types of embellishing.
This first one has a weathered wood print.
I added stenciling using expanding mousse - it really puffs up when heated! I also added a strip of washi tape and an Architexture tile with a Relics & Artifacts cherubic face. I love the overall coloring on this one.
The next has an old worn wallpaper background.
I added stenciling using lustre wax and a scrap piece of dotted burlap trim with a couple of keys. At the top is another key with my string. It's kind of shabby and rustic.
The last one, I think, is my favorite - somewhat of a vintage industrial.
The background had a collage of various prints that Canvas Corp uses in their papers. I added copper crackle paste and didn't wait for it to dry - I dove in with my heat gun to add 'warts'. It really looks molten! I also added some homemade mica flakes, washi tape, and part of an Architexture scrollwork piece. I used heavy-gage wire instead of ribbon or string.
I'm entering these at Artpiaskownica and Classic Design Challenge!
