Girl Power

Welcome back, my friends! Last week, I showed you a small vinyl record I upcycled as part of a DT project last year for Emerald Creek. I had these sitting in a box since the event they were made for never happened.

Today, I have a large record I did using stencils and embossing powder. 

I mainly used stencils from Stencil Girl for this one. As I said in the previous post, it's been over a year since I did these so the exact embossing powders I used is a little fuzzy 😳. But I believe I used powders from Seth Apter's Baked Velvet collection. 

I decided to leave a lot of black vinyl showing so the colors would pop. 

Just a minimal amount of warping - if you keep that heat gun on it too long, it will change shape considerably! 

I love creating art this way - it makes a fun canvas and you can really get into twisting and shaping it to fit the mood of your project.
