We're well into the Autumn season with its crisp weather, falling leaves, and fading color. There's nothing I like better at this time of the year than walking the trails in the local area. The ground is littered with nature's debris.
The base for this is a large 12" LP record that I painted white. I covered the edges with torn tissue paper from Finnabair. I added some stenciling using crackle paste and added a rusty Autumn color using watered-down liquid acrylic ink. There's also gold mica flakes scattered around.
The focal point is an acrylic mould that I colored on the bottom with waxes and just highlighted the high points on top. It gives it a matte, almost velvety, look. She's layered with cheese cloth & sisal inside a clock dome ring giving it a wispy look and adding a natural element. I also added an ATC coin ring on top.
I did the same technique with wax on the underside for the flowers.
