Mighty owl rising

It's almost Thanksgiving time so I'm taking a little break. But before I go, I've got a tag I made using Zuri molds!

This is a regular large G45 tag that I covered with crumpled foil. I then went over it with black gesso, wiping it off as I went. The main attraction is the mighty owl. I painted him black and then highlighted with old silver wax. I put small acrylic pieces on his eyes and a larger one on his chest.

At the bottom is one of the swords from the Medieval Gear mold. (BTW - stayed tuned because next month, I've got a bottle makeover using the rest of the pieces in that set - think Excalibur!) I added a small acrylic piece to the end of the sword.

And then what can I say about these wings?! They're from Creative Embellishments and I've embossed them with a hologram powder after painting them black.

It's a seriously large tag and weighty. I just love all the dimensions!

I couldn't decide if I liked a black background or white so here's some pics using white!

I love the Zuri molds I've bought so far. They de-mold easily and they're so detailed. I know you'll love them, too!

I'm entering this at Arty DivasCountry View Challenges, and the Zuri November Challenge on FB!
